BIO

As a true Aquarian in nature, my connection to the realm of the Arts & Music started very early on. Training in Classical Ballet for 11 years, singing and acting in school choirs and plays, and later on performing in Musical Theatre were my gateway.

I moved to NYC at 22 years old with a suitcase and big dreams, but in essence, it was when I began my real training as a songwriter, a musician and a singer. Visiting The Village frequently, I was more exposed to the soulful sounds of Jazz and Rhythm & Blues. And my music selection deepened into older records of Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday, Etta James, Nina Simon, Ray Charles etc.

My time in New York was magical, and its musical influences left a mark on my soul. Inevitably, Magic doesn’t go without hardships, and I wrote the song YOUR ONLY WOMAN in 2005. But it would have taken me 20 years to bring it to life and introduce it to the world.

I am honored to add the Original version from a live rehearsal recorded back in 2005 as a bonus track, bringing my Heart and this special song to a full cycle. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do.

LOVE ALWAYS,
YAEL JAMES.
